The inlay consists of: real Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, Lapis, Charoite, Turquoise with Matrix, and man made Blue Opal. Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

Charoite was discovered in Russia in 1978 in a mountain in Yakutia, near the Charo River. This stone was acknowledged as an independent mineral in 1978. The beautiful stone has an array of color ranging from bright lavender, violet and lilac to dark purple with a combination of white, gray and black matrix. This unusual stone contains swirly strands of fibrous material. Charoite is believed to enhance confidence, accelerate spiritual growth, and increase the ability to love.
