Trail of Tears is a beautiful depiction of a Cherokee Indian Grandmother and baby with a Golden Eagle in the background is reproduced from an original pencil drawing by the late Lon Smith. Lon was a native of California, but his work continues to be collected worldwide. His work ranged from pencil to pen and ink, etchings and most notably, silverpoint.

Native Americans is a duotone, black on black reproduction created by printing two black plates, one with the basic image and one with the finer more subtle tones giving a true reproduction of the original drawing. California artist, Lon Smith has collertors world wide and is known for his work in portraiture and wildlife. Lon died in 2009 in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and left many beautiful images.
